Another summer of nordic training comes to a close!

This past summer has been another fantastic time to be a nordic skier in Jackson Hole. We had a huge summer training group again this year - with over 20 high school-aged athletes and 12 middle school-aged athletes signed up for training and attending regularly. We achieved many of our favorite long runs in the mountains and journeyed to Lake of the Crags, Phelps Lake, Rendezvous Mountain, Mt. Glory, and many others on our Friday adventures. We also accomplished some long rollerskis including up the road to Targhee Mountain Resort, from town to Jenny Lake, and finally the capstone of the summer from Jenny Lake to Hoback. These kids are machines!

In and around our longer adventures we had many special workouts on the pathways in the valley and in the mountains in and around Jackson Hole. From the cat-tracks of Snow King to the swamps of Trail Creek to the hills in South Park these kids put in a huge amount of work and are in a great place heading into the winter season. The last week of summer training was amazing with the aforementioned Jenny Lake-Hoback rollerski, intervals in the bog at Trail Creek, a combo rollerski/run in the Park, and ultimate frisbee on the fields at Snow King.

Looking ahead to the Fall, we are going to keep working hard as the weather gets cooler and the season draws nearer. We have already been doing Plyos, rollerskiing, and playing games after school since the year started, and we will keep pushing and maintaining our strength through the Fall. We are looking forward to some long weekends in October where we will do a training camp and get away before the season begins in earnest, and we are starting to plan some fun adventures to do during school!

Masters & Parents Clinics Opening Soon
As the Winter draws nearer we are starting to plan our offerings for Parent Clinics and Masters Clinics for the 2025-26 winter. We are going to keep offering our Masters Clinics that have been an overwhelming success the last few years for adults to work on their ski skills and learn more about the sport. We will tentatively offer the masters clinics on Wednesdays midday from December-February!
New last year were a series of Parent Clinics that took place at Trail Creek during practice hours for kids. It is a perfect opportunity for busy parents to get out and learn some of what their kids are learning during a time when their children are at practice in the same place! We are going to expand our offerings for parent clinics this year, and look for those to take place on weekdays from 4-5:15 PM at Trail Creek periodically throughout the winter. Exact dates will be confirmed soon.
Look for signups for Masters and Parent Clinics to be released by October 1! We are super stoked for the season ahead!
