FreePine: Alpine - Freeride Hybrid Program:

For ages 8-12

FreePine combines the best of both worlds for our Development age athletes!

Athletes will train with JHSC Alpine coaches on weeknights at Snow King, dialing in the fundamentals of ski racing. On weekends, athletes train with JHSC Freeride coaches, working on technique as it relates to Freeski or Snowboard disciplines.

Athletes will have the opportunity to compete locally in:

  • Alpine Racing

  • Slopestyle

  • Rail-jam

  • Freeride

This program is built for kids who can't get enough time on hill and LOVE skiing in all its aspects. It allows young athletes to try multiple disciplines and see what clicks!

**No Hybrid programming offered at the U14 level and older**

Competitions and Events

FreePine athletes have the opportunity to compete in Alpine racing, Freeride, Slopestyle, and Rail Jam events throughout the season. Competition schedules are developed collaboratively by the Alpine and Freeride coaching staffs based on each athlete's age, ability, and individual goals.

Athletes are not expected or encouraged to participate in every competition or discipline. Instead, coaches will work with each family to develop an age-appropriate competition schedule that supports long-term athletic development while providing opportunities to explore multiple disciplines.

For complete competition calendars and event information, please refer to the Alpine U10/U12 and Freeride DEVO program pages.
