Skill Development Focus
- All-Mountain Safety
- Work on balance, coordination, movement, and athletic stance on skis. Goal is that athletes can ski most terrains with adequate technique. Starting with introduction to carving, usage of upper and lower body separation, and pole plant.
- An introduction to the basic tactical elements of racing.

Wednesdays, 4-6pm @ Snow King- Competitions and Events
Athletes are encouraged to experience entry-level competition in the following ways:
- Bank of Jackson Hole Club Series (dates subject to change) - The Club Series is a local race series open to all that serves as a fun, inexpensive introduction to ski racing.
- 2-day Race Team members may want to try a U.S. Ski and Snowboard sanctioned race, please discuss this with the coaches. (U.S. Ski and Snowboard membership required)
- JHSC-based games and activities and an introduction to SkillsQuest
- JHSC interclub competitions

Bank of Jackson Hole Club Series races at Snow King & Jackson Hole Mountain Resort are $10 per race this season.
Ski Passes
Athletes need a Snow King Mountain & Jackson Hole Mountain Resort season pass. Pass prices are not included in program fees and must be purchased directly through Snow King and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Purchase early for best pricing.Work Deposit

Recommended 1 pair of race skis, 1 pair of freeskis. Helmets are mandatory.

- Academic Support and Early Release Program
- There is no early release schedule required for 2 Day Race Team athletes.Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club staff works closely with the local schools to further develop the Early-Release Program for each academic year and summer programs. The Club and local schools are highly motivated to create educational program options for students that enable them to maintain a rigorous academic schedule while supporting athletic growth and development.
