The Development Program is open to athletes who have prior ski experience or highly motivated newcomers. Our goal is to continue developing each individual's skiing skills to maximize their athletic potential while having fun on skis. We introduce aspects of training and conditioning through both dryland and on-snow training that focus on the development of balance on skis, comfort with speed, comfort with both Nordic techniques, and the joy of winter outdoors. This program takes the next step towards participating in local & regional competitions. Participants are encouraged to race in local races and will have the opportunity to compete in at least one regional competition.
Skill Development Focus
Focus on proper body position & the basic ski motions are taught through ski play and specific tasks. Basic team-based motivation, and sportsmanship are focal points of program design. The Devo crew becomes a team that stretches skill levels and encourages improvement from within. Participating in a wide variety of sports to develop balance, agility, general strength, flexibility, speed & coordination.
