Rockchuck Racers freeski and work on mountain skills and racing fundamentals. The team practices at Snow King on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm. Emphasis is placed on all-around skiing fundamentals and introduction to alpine racing. Athletes are arranged in groups based on skill, speed, and social needs. Participants must be able to put on their own ski equipment, load and ride the lift alone, and ski at an intermediate level at Snow King. The program is open to athletes ages 5–9 years old.

Athletes are encouraged to experience entry-level competition in the following ways:
- Bank of Jackson Hole Club Series (dates subject to change) - The Club Series is a local race series open to all that serves as a fun, inexpensive introduction to ski racing.
- JHSC-based games and activities and an introduction to SkillsQuest
- JHSC interclub competitions

Race Travel Expenses
Bank of Jackson Hole Club Series races at Snow King & Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will be $10 for all racers.
Ski Passes
Athletes will need a Snow King Mountain season pass. Pass prices are not included in program fees and must be purchased directly through Snow King. Purchase early for best pricing.

You need one pair of skis. We recommended 1 pair of race skis, 1 pair of freeskis. Helmets are mandatory.

Early release is not required for this program. Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club staff works closely with the local schools to further develop the Early-Release Program for each academic year and summer programs. The Club and local schools are highly motivated to create educational program options for students that enable them to maintain a rigorous academic schedule while supporting athletic growth and development.
