My name is Al Clausen, and I'm honored to be returning to Jackson Hole Ski Club as
the Head U-14 Coach. Jackson has been a special place for my family and me for
many years. My two sons, Sam and Gus, grew up in the Jackson Hole Ski Club
program, and watching them develop as athletes and young men helped shape our
family's life and reinforced my belief in the positive impact a great ski club can have
on kids.

I've spent more than 20 years coaching alpine ski racing, working with athletes from
the U10 level through FIS. Along the way I've had the privilege of coaching at
Jackson Hole Ski Club, Grand Targhee, and most recently Palisades Tahoe.
Throughout my career, I've remained passionate about helping young athletes
develop strong technical skills, confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of skiing.

When I'm not on the hill, you'll usually find me mountain biking, hiking, or exploring
the outdoors with my dog. Coaching has never felt like a job to me—it's something I
genuinely love. I'm incredibly excited to be back in Jackson, reconnect with this
amazing community, and begin another chapter with a club that has meant so much
to my family and my coaching career.
