The Competition Team is designed for older athletes who are serious about competing at a high level. Training will build upon established fundamentals in big-mountain freeride, slopestyle, rail jam and skier/boardercross. All new athletes wishing to join the Competition Team must receive approval from the Head Competition coach.
USASA and IFSA certified Freeride Program Coaches will mentor and coach Competition Team athletes during weekend and weekday training, and at regional, national, and international competitions. The Competition Team training schedule is designed for athletes who are dedicated to pursuing the highest level of training. Athletes will train and demonstrate the ability to tackle steeps, natural jumps, cliff drops, and man-made features in all conditions during training and competitions. Technical proficiencies and skill assessments will be a regular component of the training. Additionally, we complete mid and end of season athlete evaluations based on the USSA's Developmental Matrix.
